I, too, would be interested to know if there is such a guide, but since
there are no markings on many of these components, it is not possible to
"read" the values once the components are out of their labelled packaging.
That is why stock control is so important to ensure that the correct
components are fitted inthe right places on boards. Once res's and cap's
are n a board, the only way to tell waht they are is to measure their
value.

Hi all
I am looking for a guide on how to read surface mount resistors and
capacitors for training purposes. Does anyone have or know where I can find
such a guide. I've searched high and low over the internet but could not
find exactly what I need.
