My experience with suppliers was just like yours. They were terribly
sloppy with both ESDS and MSD marking. We identified the component
sensitivity issues on our component drawings. Wrong marks are worse than
no marks. Sounds like things have not changed for the better in the last
couple of years . . . Why would they? On this same subject I just got a
message wondering about bags for MSD/ESDS control. Seems that bags which
comply with J-STD-033A are not the norm.

You get the MIL-PRF-81075 physical characteristics or the Water vapor
transmission rate (WVTR)< 0.002 gm/100 in2 ASTM F1249 performance but
not both. I was only able to find one source that satisfies both
performance requirements. What gives?!
