For small volume/prototype, check out the 3A or 3B arbor presses from
Greenerd - have used them for years. AMP can provide several sizes of
magnetically held ram ends. You will also need to fab an aluminum plate to
replace the plate from Greenerd.

Does anyone have recommendation for a manual press capable of offering
6" throat depth for press fit connector?

We ran into a customer's assembly with 20+ press fit connectors spread
out on a 12x12 pcb (a few in the center of board). My current Schmidt
press only has a 4" reach.
