Hello, Technetters...

Yes, this refers to EIA-468-B. We still have 3 machines doing this dirty work.

My question pertains to lead parallelism, specifically, how is it addressed by the specification, if at all? I can't find any specific mention
of that characteristic, nor can I find anything else that would control it secondarily (did I just make up a word?). Right now we've got 2.50mm specified
electrolytics with a ~.8mm difference between spacing at the seal and spacing at the tape. Of course they're under a load in the tape, so when they're
cut they spring open another .2mm or so. Boing, and the machine goes into repair interlock.

Anyone else ever have this problem? Any problems getting your supplier to correct it when (apparently) 468 doesn't require it, so there's nothing
documented to show them? Unless, of course, you've got it controlled withing your own company specific specifications, which we don't.

Many thanks.

Steve
