I don't seriously think Big Jack intended to kick you off the forum - your
contributions are a major part of the "character" of this group, and I for
one would be less wise and less entertained if you're not there. I always
hold with freedom of expression (I enjoy that freedom and thus allow that
everyone else should ejoy that same privilege). However I am also open to
the fact that others may not [always] appreciate the style of that
expression or its appropriateness in certain circumstances. That being the
case, if I value the good opinion of others (which I do) and otherwise
enjoy the benefit of their society (which I do, I do!), I try to modify
what I say or how I say it to better fit the group dynamic and rules of
discourse so as to avoid, if possible, causing offense/upset/etc to others,
and have them go to the trouble of clearing my sludge out of their inboxes
too often.
If you leave, a great many of us will miss you, but I believe you will also
miss us, and I know you are wise enough to realise that. SO, swallow your
injured pride, my friend, and stick with us. I believe that Jack was just
trying to get the "Technical Discussion" nature for the forum back on track
and stop it drifting too far into the realms of a chat room. We do have
considerable freedom to chat as it is, which is necessary for the group
dynamic to flourish, and Jack was trying to curb a possible monopoly.
[sorry, Jack, for speaking for you - hope I got your intention right].
Earl, I mean you no offense, and I hope none is taken. I also hope to read
your contributions and observations on this forum well into the future.

too but not the stuff related to my being a rude, crude dude with poor
language skills. More fishin' and cussin' in my future while running into
fewer offended folks out there with no vices of their own, I hope to hell
and back.
