A question concerning IPC 6012 Spec.
Section 3.4.3 'Anular Ring (External)'  (pg 7) states "Plated through holes
identified as vias can have up to 90 degree breakout of the annular ring if
it does not occur at the conductor and land intersection."    On the next
page Table 3-5 Mininum Internal and External Annular Ring for Class 3
Performance states "The minimum external annular ring shall not be less that
50 um [0.0020"]" . No mention of the via hole exception.   Is 90 degree
breakout on external vias allowable (as long as it is not at the pad -trace
interface) for Class 3 pwb's?
