Kevin,

We perform this process on an as-needed basis and have found it to be very
effective. It comes in handy to repair numerous skips or bridges caused
from faulty machine settings. We've found no decrease in reliability, and
have performed a great deal of testing to confirm this. That would, of
course, depend upon your own assembly's component make-up and end
application.

Hope this helps,

We've done it, but if the cause of the problem was solderability then it
probably will not help. If you are correcting a preheat problem or solder
temp problem, it can help.

Subject: [TN] Re-Waving electronic assemblies

Anyone out there have any information or input into the acceptability of
putting an electronics assembly back through a wave process a second time as
part of a rework process?

Please advise,
