Hi, Joe,

I, too, am interested in any comments on the AAT machines, as I am looking
to buy one of their small cleaners for our prototype shop. My information
so far is that they're reliable, easy to use and require little
maintainance apart from filter changes. That's sales pitch, though, of
course. Haven't experienced the real thing yet.

We're in the process of choosing a source for a new cleaner.
We use RMA today with batch semi-aqueous systems, and
we're buying a conveyorized aqueous system so that we can
begin to evaluate water soluble fluxes.

Our product is primarily military/high-rel, with some surface mount
components spaced very close (e.g. LCC's with 2 mil clearance).

We've narrowed it down to Technical Devices, Trek, Electrovert
(Speedline), and Austin American Technology. They all look
like good machines, and performed well in our evaluations.

Anyone care to comment about experiences with their
equipment, in the areas of performance, maintainability, recurring
costs, reliability, service, availability of parts, etc?

Testimonials are welcome and valuable, but if you have a horror
story, I'd sure like to hear it, and you can respond to me off-line
if you'd be more comfortable.
