Some of the people I've worked with use the machines, often old and dusty,
for very high densidy product with many different components with many
different thermal density variations and very high thermal mass that just
cannot get down in the big BTU's. We used them in SGI and Cray product for
various processes including some very large (17 X 21 inches) 40 layer type
designs with many ceramic device types.

I would thik, as we have discussed iin the past, a revival may be in
progress. Graham and I discussed this but I'ver heard little of the newest
geration coming from Europe.

Subject: [TN] Vapor Phase soldering

Hello

At least in Germany Vapor Phase soldering is a back coming soldering
technique. But I think in the US there are a lot of concern regarding this
technique
Is this true and why?

What is the actual status in the USA?

Who is using this technique for:
Repair
Prototypes
Low Volume
Mid Volume
High volume

Are there any suppliers of vapor phase systems in the states?

Any input is welcome
