The electron beam tester was being developed by Viasystems Canada, and I
believe they were intending to patent the technique. Shortage of funds, lack
of understanding over potential benefits, insufficient EBITDA contribution
etc probably put development on hold, and knowledgeable people leaving could
have binned the whole project. If you have anything other than a passing
interest, I suggest you contact Barry Brigman (if he's still there) at
Viasystems and ask the question.
