Fellow Tech Netters:

    I posted an inquiry on " Contact Plating Requirements ".   I did not
receive what I was searching for.
Therefore, I will restate my original inquiry.

  Is there any matrix such as the one stated in IPC-2221 Table 4-3 Final
Finish, Surface Plating Coating
Requirements for Connector Contacts Plating requirements.
   I have concerns with plating thickness and materials selections that I
have witness on Overseas Product.
I have measured nickel thickness around 40 micro inches.   What is an
acceptable minimum and max. thickness.
I have also witness Cu/Ni/ with some form of tin lead.   A second was a
barrier metal other than Ni on Base Cu and SnPb.

Really would like to hear some experiences from the DINOSAURS out there.
