Hi Peter,
RF signals propagate mainly in the surface of the conductive material (skin
effect). The 75% fillet may be an attempt to lower the effective resistance
in the circuit (tin/lead is a relatively poor conductor). If so, it's a very
heavy handed way to go about it. It also doesn't address the distribution of
signal to the capacitor pad which would now be at the the 75% of height
point. If this is the issue your customer might explore other conductive
materials and bonding techniques.
