Hi John,

this is a very important aspect of concurrent engineering. The one who holds
the key is your component engineer. It's a matter of specifying all the
significant characters of the part number when ordering the parts.

Very often the part number is not complete, the last 2-3 characters are
considered of no use, but it's there that you can ask for the orientation of
the parts in the reels.

Once you make sure you got the right and complete string, make sure you
capture it in a system like MRP, so that every time the part is ordered, you
order the same thing.
