Hi Blair,
I don't recall the DOD ever cancelling 45208 or 9858, however one of our facilities is doing subcontract work where the government flow down is ISO. Can someone out there clarify the status of 45208 and 9858.

My thoughts exactly. I just couldn't come up with the Z540 number (old age
setting in). The ISO 9000 series were about the closest replacements for
45208/9858 that I know of, but not what I would call equivalent.

Whoa...to my knowledge IPC-610 never replaced Mil-I-45208A. Mil-I is a
requirement for inspection systems and does not distinguish between product
type. As for Mil-STD-45662 we use ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994 which includes the
requirements relevant to 45662.

IPC 610C replaces Mil I-45208. Also available IPC/EAI J-STD -001C
REQUIREMENTS FOR SOLDERED ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLIES.

copies of the publications.
Calibration you can use ANSI/ASQ Standard Q90 (1987)
