Receiving inspection would be my choice. A quick fixture should be able to be constructed to sample test a bunch of fuses and then inventory only when assured the parts are correct.

But in general I have been running up against this issue about 4 different times so far this year. None of the incidents were with the same supplier or issue. Why is it so difficult to mark a part so it can be identified? This has come into play for some custom made parts or parts that need to pass a specific test screen. What is the deal with the component manufacturer's?

It has been a long Friday and since I took the time to get on the soap box I might as well go off about moisture sensitivity too. What is the big secret about moisture sensitivity too?

I have been waiting three weeks for a Sony Japan to tell me what level classification a specific part is. I only had to go to Japan because the data sheet says see package. We don' have a package and neither does the distributor. The north American division is not helping out at all either. I am not going to wait for the parts to just show up and then decide the level of control needed.

You took the order and promised to be there and answer any question I may have but you never said I could die before the answer would be forth coming.

Here, Moonman I will give the spoon and pot back now. Thanks all and have a good weekend.
