Hi Steve,
I can understand the tolerance being 1.65" +0.005" but is it necessary
for it to be -0.005" in the localised area of the tabs? If not you
could use recessed break off tabs, the remnants of which were no greater
than 1.65" after breaking the boards out.
Alternatively could you build a partial donut shaped punch jig to break
the boards out to the required tolerances with sufficient PCB supprt to
avoid damaged to the solder joints / components?
