In a previous life we used Tetra etch to etch the teflon beads we put into
RF connectors. It was really nasty smelling stuff and we used it on a
bench with a vented hood. I was the only thing you could use to allow the
glue to adhere to the teflon bead when you cross injected to hold the bead
in place. The only thing we did was put the parts in a black bag after
etching to keep the light from them. That had an adverse effect on them
(at least that is what i was told) Just really nasty smelling stuff

Hi all,

Does anyone know what is Tetra treatment ? According to my board maker, it
is used to treat the surface of the PCB for better adhesion of the
silkcscreen printing. Will it affect the characteristic of the PCB
dielectric laminates, especially for Roger's Teflon board.

Appreciate anyone could advise please.

Regards,
Guan Chye
