Genny,

The quality thing should be factored. However, I see no indication it is.
Ford lost over $5billion last year and still can't satisfy customer quality
requirements. Productivity means getting it out the door. Lean is not a
factor, nor is anything associated with it.

My take on Ford, or anyone else, is to place a placard on the dashboard
clearly demanidng no one exceed 70 mph, or whatever, and lawsuits would end
because tires would not explode, not designed to do such on road speeds, and
roll over accidents would be eliminated.

Hell, this story just keeps getting bigger. Unless we stop the nonsense, it
ain'g going to change for the better.
