There are many dross re-cyclers - the big solder suppliers all recycle, as do a number of smaller operations.  You might want to call Richard Thibodeau with Sergroup Technologies Inc, he's fairly local to you I believe (450-698-3383).

As long as it's sitting undisturbed it's not a hazard.  The big safety issue is with the dust - so if you move it and it is not properly packaged, wear a proper mask.  Companies that recycle the stuff usually provide a pail with a sealable lid, you just drop it in, seal it up, and ship it.  Hopefully whomever stashed this stuff put it in the right containers.

Hi all,

Got a little questions for the circuit boards assembly shop.  How do you
dispose of the dross?  Is there any safety hazard with this stuff?  

We stopped assembling boards on a wave years ago but we have a whole
crate of residues sitting in the corner of the shop gathering dust.  We want
to dispose of that correctly.
