Dean,

Could you nickel plate it first, to make it wettable?  Then maybe tin, or a
bit of gold plate, etc.?

We have some 1010 cold rolled steel board stiffeners that require soldering
to a circuit card like a through-hole part.  Does anyone know if there are
any solder alloys that will wet to 1010 steel?  We could have them
electroplated with tin/lead to make them solderable but was curious if there
was an alternative.
