Rodney & Randy & William-
Do you spec the finished copper in oz. or microns or inches? What you say
is the way I've always done it (spec. finished thickness + min plating in
holes), but am trying to devise a 'global' standard. Our French and German
divisions specify starting and finished copper in microns. IPC seems to say
you should call out a starting thickness (though maybe that's just for the
boardshops ordering the clad laminate) and a finished thickness.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to respond. I'd love to hear from someone
at IPC regarding 76uM as finished thickness for 2oz. base Cu after
plating...

William- Yeah, I started out talking about 2oz. finished, but got off track
looking at IPC-6012, where the final minimum thickness for 2oz+plating
equals a gnats a$$ more than base 2oz. I'm easily distracted.
