Mentor's been on record for the last year as it has moved boardstation into
expedition, but there are still holdouts in the unix workstation market
for boardstation.

There is some info, credible or not, posted at:

http://www.pcbstandards.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=444&highlight=
mentor

claiming that "PADS will be fully supported as Mentor's Low End Tool " and
that "Board Station will be folded into Expedition so Mentor will only have
two PCB design layout tools, PADS and Expedition."

Personally, I think really only time will tell and anything being said at
this stage is merely lip service.

I know this is off in left field, but does ANYONE have insight into what
will happen with the Enterprise (i.e. Design Capture, Expedition, etc)
product (was the veribest toolset) now that Mentor has yet another
(that's three overlapping product lines by my count) "low cost, user
friendly" PC product line? I'm still interested in cross-training on
Expedition because I really thought it was a good product, but might it
go away?

Just wondering...
