Peter,

Can you tell me how do you test them ? Are they continuously  protective in
a production environment ?

As I read info  from Ken ( See below) it says it is effective  to keep
human body under 150V. However many publications  states that some devices
can be damaged  even with ESD lower then 50V....

 Important note
Before touching and sensitive electronic components by bare hands,allow
15sec(after putting it on) for the wrist strap to neutralize the static
electricity already existing on the body
