It's a good reference 
But to answer to Joe, I think that recycle lead has no interest because of
its low initial cost. This article only speaks about expensive metals like
gold or palladium.

Interesting redading but it makes me wonder... If Japan is going to now
learn how to recycle electronics, why is lead-free needed?
