There is also an old process used by some woodworkers to remove rust from
tools.  It is an electrochemical process involving trisodium phosphate
solutions, available from tractor supply stores, and a common battery
charger.  I would have to hunt around for the specifics, but if you went to
the archives of the newsgroup rec.woodworking, and search on trisodium
phosphate or TSP, you would find the formula.  Works pretty slick.
