Unions??? And that is why we have plants outside the USA. It's bad enough we
have to pay $18.00 per hour for a $7.00 an hour job and then overtime to
improve their skills.

Suzanne,

I have a union shop, they do not allow homework. If I was to announce
homework, I would have a grievance filed before the shift ended.

I have to agree with the union though, years ago when I was attending
school at Indianapolis Naval Air facility, they were bad about assigning
homework, I told the instructor he would have to call back to my plant and
get overtime authorization, I only worked 40 hours for the man! That ended
homework assignments.

I know allow time during the class for reading and studying, it's better
than a grievance.

Good Luck, and Happy Holidays
