There are no issues - any standard support carrier will do - you can run
them in panels just like a rigid board and then excise out after assembly.

Subject: [TN] SMD and Flex Circuits
Does anyone have any experience with mounting SMD to non-stiffened flex
circuits (5 mils thick) in an automated mfg environment? Is it as easy as
buliding support fixtures for the assembly process or is there "gotchya's" I
am not considering?
TIA,
Scott
