To all our American friends,

Words cannot adequately express the shock, horror and disbelief that has
been felt around the world at the attack on the heart of New York and
Pennsylvania. We sat watching the live pictures here in Singapore until
almost 1 a.m., marvelling at the courage and dedication of the rescue
services, and praying hard for the  victims and survivors of the stricken
buildings.

This event has a world wide impact. You are not alone in your grief and
shock, and I wish you all God speed in your recovery from this terrible
injury. I pray for those who felt it necessary to give their own lives to
carry out this attack, and I pray for a wise and considered reaction when
the source and reason for this devastation is found.
