Ioan,

We have a product that pretty much fits the description of your board,
slightly thicker at 0.032, Our board has a .016" +/-.003" Web with a 30
degrees angle blade. One thing I got to tell you it's that a board that thin
with the v-score becomes a lot more flimsier. There are things you can do to
help to make the board more rigid such as additional copper thieving and
jump scoring.

As far as your questions: Yes, it's possible. But you might want to limit
the extent of the v-score and help the board rigidity with jump scoring and
adding copper thieving to the breakaways.

Subject: [TN] V scoring of a 0.031" thick panel

Hi Technet,

I'm back with one more experience teaser.

Is it possible to score a FR4 panel, 0.031" thick? The scoring guide on the
site of Accusystems only covers the regular, 0.062".

If yes, any limitations?

What is the reccomended web thickness, I am looking at a panel about 4"x9",
double reflow, with the depanelizing right after the reflow.

Thanks,
Ioan
