        Justin, if your colleagues do not see the rework side of things,
then arrange for the next time that there is a big
        batch of rework that needs doing, that making your proposed changes
will reduce, then have it arranged that
        your colleagues have to traipse down to the shop floor and do the
rework themselves!

        Arrange this with their respective managers & them so as not to pee
anyone off, but it does help to give
        them the experience of shop floor problems.
