JESD22-B108
3.1 Seating Plane
The plane established by the contact points of three or more leads that
support the device when it is placed on top of a planar surface.
(I read this as each component will establish its own seating plane to the
board surface)

3.2 Deviation from Coplanarity
The distance between the intended contact point of a lead and the
established seating plane.
(IPC-610 should address the maximum lead offset from the pad).

4. PROCEDURE
4. Measure the deviation from coplanarity of all the leads on the device.

Hi Technetters!
According to JESD22-B108 (complanarity test for SMD), the device's
coplanarity defined as the largest distance distance between the contact
point of leads and the established seating plane, but when the estabilished
seating plane is estabilished by three leads which are bend downwards, Is it
mean that all other device leads are out of planar position.
So can I define it as vertical distance measured from the lowest lead?

     Thanks for your any input.

Best Regards,
Liu Changkang
