I do not consider your reply appropriate. The original posting was written
in 1973 by a Canadian.

We as Brits have to be very careful when quoting history. Ours is littered
with lots of things we cannot be proud of.

Also remember it was Brits who first populated the North American continent
thus gifting the Native Americans with a raft of diseases.

At this point in time I would cut a grieving nation a little slack and keep
antagonistic opinions to youself for a while.

inaccurate and exaggerated.
Never forget that one of the world's greatest genocides was the virtual
annihilation of the native American Indian... some 24 million of them!
