Hello people,
I need your personal experience on a design technicality.
We do design with spark gap for lightning protection and I wish to know
what would be the smallest distance, that I can place 2 exposed copper
obstacles (without solder mask) that would survive the solder leveling
process without shorting?
Right now we do triangle shapes that points toward one and other with
0.010" spacing without any problems but how much closer can we go?
Yes, I know that I could ask my manufacture (and I will try) but we
have major communication difficulties when it comes to technical
questions. At this Asian manufacture they barely understand english.
Thanks to all.
Regards,
