Using a thermode tip, I am attempting to bond a 37.5 gage electrical copper
wire to a phosphour bronze electrical pin .020" thick to the leg of an
axial diode. I get what looks like a cold solder joint with out Flux, but
a good connection with Flux. This three piece assembly will be placed in
plastic part made out of Liquid Crystal Polymer with 15% glass fill (LCP
15). What happens to the LCP since if flux is used since the flux can not
be washed or cleaned off. Will it corrode the LCP or would it eventually
fail itself?
