IPC NAMES NEW VICE PRESIDENT OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Northbrook, IL 07/24/01

IPC- Association Connecting Electronics Industriesâ has announced that Robert Vitas has been named vice president of professional development.
As Vice President of Professional Development, Vitas is responsible for IPC's education and video/computer training departments.  He will also oversee registration for IPC conferences, workshops and certification programs, including rework and repair, and training and certification for the IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronics Assembly.
Vitas was most recently the regional training manager for Qualex, Inc., a subsidiary of Eastman Kodak.  Prior to Qualex, Inc., Vitas worked for the Great Book Foundation as a training administrator and training instructor.
Vitas has bachelor's degree in political science from Loyola University in Chicago and also earned his doctorate in political science from Loyola.
