Rework: The act of reprocessing noncomplying articles, through the use of
original or alternate equivalent processing, in a manner that assures
compliance of the article with applicable drawings or specifications.

Since, no part of your process includes a step for securing pads to the
board. This cannot be considered rework.

Repair: The act of restoring the functional capability of a defective
article in a manner that precludes compliance of the article with applicable
drawings or specifications.

If properly bonded the board may comply with drawings and specifications.

Perhaps is you are performing Repork or repairk. To many catagories . . . ok
it's repair.

Subject: [TN] Rework/Repair

Question: Let's say I have a pad that is slightly lifted and I'm able to
push it down. Is this considered Rework or Repair?
Thanks,
Rick Howieson
