Hi,
We are using nitric acid for stripping of plating racks and during this
process some amount of NOx escapes to air.
We have been requested by environmental authorities to install wet scrubber
for absorption of NOx.It seems, that diluted alkaline solution ( such as
caustic soda ) will do the job of absorption of NOx.
What is the common practice? I presume some of plating shops are using
nitric acid for racks stripping.
Best regards
Edward
