Plexus Technology Group is looking for a PCB Design Group Supervisor for the

PCB Design Supervisor

Primary tasks:
*       Quote, schedule, monitor, and design printed circuit board layout
projects for a PCB design service CAD group.  Must successfully supervise or
accomplish all phases of design and project management with staff,
customers, and vendors.
*       Adept at supervising and resolving problems with tasks such as (but
not limited to) processing diverse input, schematic databases, design
database setup, libraries, placement, manual and automatic trace routing,
all fabrication, assembly, and test output, design-for-manufacturability
(DFM) issues, and incorporating complex engineering instructions in layouts.
*       Direct supervision and coordination of design staff, multiple
shifts:
*       Task assignment, monitoring, training, and quality control.
*       Supervise staff and customer interaction on parallel projects.
*       Monitor project performance, and track performance against quotes.
*       Assure staff adherence to company operating standards and policies.
*       Responsible for staff reviews, hiring/firing recommendations, and
assisting management in handling appropriate human resources issues.
*       Interface directly with Sales department for job scheduling and
sales assistance.
*       Minimum skills and requirements:
*       8-10 years of diversified CAD-based circuit board design experience,
including 2 years of recent full-time experience on Cadence Allegro or
Mentor system.
*       2 years supervisory or management experience in design or related
field.
*       Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, or other
technical field, or demonstrable proficiency in mathematics and engineering.
*       Computer literacy on UNIX and PC/Windows-based applications and
systems.
*       Ability to interface with Customers and Engineers as well as
downstream support including internal and external vendors for fabrication,
assembly and test.
*       Ability to adapt to changing customer requirements.
*       Excellent verbal and written communications skills.  Must be able to
write technical reports and business communications clearly.
*       Self-motivated
*       Good interpersonal skills
*       Positive team player
*       Problem solver/solution driven
*       Sales or customer service experience a very definite plus.
