I believe that the IPC, EIA, EPA and all individuals involved should be
congratulated for the overdue initiative to determine a comparative cost-risk
analysis of lead-free solder vs. tin-lead .  Until the final results are in,
all moves to replace lead in electronic solder should be suspended, worldwide.

I hope that the sponsorship may be broadened to include others, including
semiconductor, European, and Japanese organizations.
