Bruce,

We've been using immersion silver since 1997. Most of our fabricators have
implemented the immersion silver plating process because it is our surface
finish of choice.

The best source of information is probably the 1998-1999 papers presented at
the IPC National Conferences on Solderability and Surface Finishes. There
are papers from Lucent, Intel, and MacDermid. We also presented a paper at
SurFin 2000 in Chicago.

Why do you want to switch from immersion tin to immersion silver? Did you
have problems with immersion tin?

Regards,
George

Subject: [TN] Immersion Silver

I am looking to transition from immersion tin to immersion silver for PWB's.

I would be interested in receiving comments/information from users and their

experiences, both positive and negative.
