I would direct you at some new water based coatings. We have an acrylic
water based coating able to go beyond 200DegC - more than enough for your
average electronic assembly. Bearing in mind that eutectic is 183Deg, I
can't see the need for more.

I certainly cannot add any more to Brian's explanation about silicones.
Frankly, I cannot see any benefits and don't forget Brian's earlier point
about the CTE of silicones with BGA COB Flip-Chip etc..

...and before anyone has a go, we have ALL the different types in our
portfolio, so we only recommend the best for a given application.
