Is this talc used as a lubricant between insulated conductors in
multi-cored cable? Quite often this is French Chalk and not talc, which is
a different mineral.

Good day, does anyone know of complications or issues that would come about
from talcum powder being present on a wire harness that is hand soldered to
an electronics board?
For instance would the talcum powder affect the solderability of the wires?
Could the talcum powder react with rosin flux?
*Jason, I don't know that you would have a big problem with solderability,
but talcum powder is usually loaded with ionic residue, such as chloride
and sulfate. I would be concerned that the powder would get on the board
and cause corrosion. Since talcum powder is largely mineral, it could
react with rosin flux, but I have no idea what the resultant combination
would look like. Will you be cleaning the board/harness combination?
