We remove Kester 186 residue for cosmetic reasons with IPA, a brush, and
lint free wipe.
Dab the residue with IPA, place the wipe on top of the puddle, lift the
residue and IPA off the assembly into the wipe by pressing the brush into
the wipe and into the puddle. Move the wipe and lift again. repeat until
cosmetically clean.

We're using:
   Kester #186 Flux Pen
   Microcares Vericlean (applied from aerosol can thru a hand-held brush)

All our material is surface mount, no bga's,
We run a no-clean process ...

Problem: We clean after repair/rework for cosmetic reasons ... the cleaner
we are using leaves a trace amount of white residue behind ...

I have also tried Multicores Mini-Fluxers & Mini-Cleaner ... less residue
... non-consistant ... not 100% satisfied.

Does anyone have a tried and trusted system?
