Oscar,
In my last place of slavery, our Hybrid Microelectronics manufacturing
dept, recently got a whole new fabrication area with the latest toys for
making hybrids properly. The new area included a 1 ft raised floor that was
supported on metal columns set in approximately a 1 ft grid on the original
floor. For equipment that was vibration sensitive, steel plinths were used
that also sat on the original floor (i.e. solid ground) and where
necessary, vibration isolators were placed between the equipment and its
plinth. Then there was a small gap between the plinths and the rest of the
raised floor so that other equipment plus people walking about wouldn't let
vibration be transmitted 'by the back door'.

Hello Fellow Technets all Around the World !
Can anyone share their experience on raised floor vibration? We have a 2 ft
raised floor assembly and we are experiencing vibrations on our equipment
particularly wirebonders. We have several options in mind, but I would like
to get first hand info on
your experiences. How do you contain such vibrations?
Thanks and best regards
