AAAAhhhh,
the short pant/skirt thing. I have always been against shorts and/or short skirts in the electronic manufacturing environment. Solder splashes don't feel good and a good pair of pants can protect from the initial heat of a splash. However, polyester or some like material can melt from the heat. (I have also always been against wearing headphones in the same environment).

Off the technical path a bit, are there OSHA requirements during the
hand/wave soldering processes that require employees to wear long pants and
not shorts or dresses? Also, some typical guidelines out there you folks
use.
