Hi JS!

The IPC has a standard in which to do this. It's under the IPC-TM-650, Method
2.4.37.2. It provides a means to measure and evaluate soldering tool
performance by using a standard technique and using a defined copper clad

<< Hi TechNetters,
I want to evaluate some soldering systems and need to compare the heat
recovery of the iron tips. I have no experience in this. Do you guys know
of a standard method and equipment of measuring the temperature vs time of
the solder iron tip during rework? Thanks.

 Rgds,
