Try Uresolve Plus SG. Here is the web site -

I have used the Uresolve Plus SG before (for de-encapsulating molded
devices, glob-topped devices, etc), as well as the Decap (which has a Very
pungent odor). I perfer the UP SG

Could anybody tell me what kind of chemical/solvent I could use to remove
epoxy encapsulation material? What I'm trying to do is look at the wire
bonds
on some failed tunnel diodes...
