Technet,

We have assembled SMT discrete components with solder peaks. Similar to
those seen on PTH leads. There is an IPC spec for max. height of a peak for
PTH leads of 1.5 mm (I'm pretty sure). Does anyone know of any such
allowance for SMT devices? We're building to class 3 spec. and I'm leaning
towards not accepting assemblies with these peaks as they were likely hand
soldered in place.
