Chips off cutting edges which should be straight, cutting angle, primary
and secondary relief angles, smoothness of ground surfaces, lack of
symmetry etc. Note also that, after a number of resharpenings, the wear
on the drill diameter towards the point will take it out of tolerance
(it becomes slightly conical), in which case it has reached its end of
life.
