Hi Danny,
On http://www.graphicode.com you can find a Gerber viewer named named GC Prevue. You can edit the files, but the only format in which you can save the data is Graphicodes GWK file-format. If your board or stencil supplier can work with this format, then it could be your perfect solution.
If not, then have a look at the downloads section of my site (http://www.smtinfo.net). I have some links to companies that make software for viewing and editing of Gerber-files.

Hello all,
I am looking for a windows based, inexpensive and easy to use Gerber(X)
editor. Need to create special apertures for Paste stencil gerbers. Any
recommendations?
